Branding & Identity
When we joined the team, the Visit Hermann logo already existed. While working on multiple projects, we found a need for conveying the festive German flair of the tiny town to stand out amidst a variety of other destinations in Missouri and the Midwest. We developed a series of icons to help quickly tell the stories of all the different attractions, features, and amenities visitors could enjoy during their stay.
Unique Selling Point
During the infamous Oktoberfest, which is the peak of tourism in Hermann, Missouri, many visitors and locals can be seen sporting the icon alpine hats and other traditional German garb. This small wearable quickly became synonymous with not only the month-long festival, but with the uniqueness of the town. It now is seen throughout communication on everything from billboards to featured in photography within the official visitor guide, Willkommen.
…and so much more
Known locally as wine country, the diversification of local businesses and attractions called for a theme in messaging as being Wine Country “…and so much more”. This enabled messaging to showcase variety in offerings to attract new visitors.
Willkommen, The Official Visitor Guide
Even in today’s highly digital world, visitors and planners often have a preference to hold a physical map and flip through a vibrant catalog of attractions and directory of businesses. The official visitor guide features photography and stories about the local attractions from a high level. The map inside is updated twice a year as new locations open and move. The directory is also updated to offer current contact information for guests.
Wedding Trail
The Hermann Wedding Trail brings couples from the surrounding area to local establishments to tour venues, meet with local florists, caterers, and other service providers. They can tour lodging establishments to see where their guests might stay as well as see the plethora of shopping, entertainment, and tasting experiences for guests.
Couples can also explore options for celebrating with day and weekend experiences for their bridal parties and family before the upcoming nuptials.
